C4 - “Occupational Medicine for Agriculture“

As part of the Learning activities taking place in the AGROSH+ project, Romtens Foundations, with the support of the Victor Babeş University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara, hosted in Bucharest, Romania the C4 - "Implementation Course 2-Occupational Medicine for Agriculture“.

The course has taken place over a period of 6 days, 8 hours / day, between the 20th and 25th November 2017. There were 5 days allocated for the training and 1 day for the evaluation of trainees.

Out of the total number of applications, were selected 16: 12 participants from Romtens Foundation, 2 from the Victor Babeş University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara and 2 from Prolepsis Greece.

All the 16 trainees, Occupational Medicine Physicians, attended the course and out of them 15 trainees had graduated the evaluation stage and obtained the 37 credits granted by the European Union of Medical Specialists-European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (UEMS-EACCME). These credits are accepted by the Romanian College of Physicians (which is a partner of the UEMS-EACCME) and they will be granted to the trainees in a similar way as the common continuous medical education credits.

The course had 16 modules dealing with different aspects of Occupational Medicine for agricultural workers. During the 5 days of training trainees had not only attend presentations, but they also got involved by resolving individual and collective exercise, reading case studies and discussing with the trainers about issues in Occupational Medicine for agricultural workers.
