Project Partners

The “OSH+ for the European Agriculture sector - Stimulating growth in rural areas through capacity building for providers (and beneficiaries) of occupational medicine and OSH services” – AGROSH+ project is a joint effort of 5 partners coming from 4 countries. Each partner brings a unique set of skills to this partnership, which ensures that the results to be be obtained by the end of the project will be reflecting multiple national perspectives, but also multiple professional perspectives (each partner has a specific agenda derived directly from its currently nationally operating roles); the overall and joint scope of all partners being to enhance the available knowledge for the OSH experts and of the occupational medicine physicians.

Each partner has experience relevant to the project, and each one of us comes with a different experience in one of the 2 (two) areas addressed by the project. For this reason partners, although being involved in all project activities, contribute to a greater extent either to the OSH area or to the Occupational Medicine area, based on their organizational competences. This differences are also visible in the way partners will be involved within Learning / Teaching / Training activities. Below there is a short presentation for each partner and the extent and peculiarities of their involvement in the project.

ROMTENS Foundation is a private NGO, set up in 1998 and declared a Public Utility in 2008 (according to the Order of the Government No 509/May 2008). Its main areas of action are Public Health, Workplace Health Promotion, Occupational Health, Occupational Safety & Health, and Project Management (with a particular and in depth focus on Project / Program Evaluation). Over the past 17 years, Romtens Foundation has been keen to achieve "state-of-the-art" expertise in Workplace Health Promotion, and hence it has devoted most of its efforts in acquiring knowledge and in developing and implementing workplace health promotion projects. It has become a member of several European Public Health Networks, such as the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP), the European Network for Training and Education in OSH (ENETOSH), the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA).

ROMTENS Foundation participated to over 50 European projects since its beginnings either as Applicant or as Partner. It has an extensive experience in OSH and training. Over the past 5 years Romtens has been granted by the National Accreditation Agency the accreditation to organize OSH training courses, and hence it has trained around 200 employees and managers in getting a degree in OSH, either as OSH Specialists (226302 Code from Classification of Occupations in Romania for 80 hours course) or OSH Inspectors (325723 Code from Classification of Occupations in Romania for 40 hours course ). As well, Romtens Foundation has performed training courses for Workplace Health Promotion in order to increase the professional knowledge of the Slovenian and Romanian Occupational Medicine physicians. Romtens Foundation has also experience in testing and promoting training resources for construction companies, enabling them to organize successful toolbox meetings, effective instruments to influence workers' behavior.

ROMTENS Foundation will coordinate all project partners, will provide project management and evaluation activities, and will be involved in all project activities.

ROMTENS Foundation is the host of the 1st Transnational Meeting in Bucharest and it will also host a multiplier event.
